By combining a 6-disc MusicBank™ CD changer mechanism, MD playback transport, high power amplifier and an AM/FM tuner, convenience, versatility and sonic excellence can be realized by the mobile audiophile.
6-Disc MusicBank™ CD Changer Mechanism / Single MD Transport
The MD-95z's direct-loading CD mechanism makes in-car multi-disc CD playback simple and easy. 6-compact discs can be loaded one after the other without the use of a cartridge or magazine. The MusicBank™ mechanism handles each disc gently and precisely by its edges, without ever touching the playing surface.
A high-precision MD transport ensures that every delicate nuance of music is recovered from your prerecorded or home-recorded mini discs.
High Resolution 24-Bit D/A Converters
The MD-95z employs an ultra high-resolution 24-bit D/A converter to deliver extraordinary musicality for both MD and compact disc playback. The results are tight, well defined bass with clear, detailed midrange and high frequency response.
4-Gang Analog Volume Control
Building on the Nakamichi tradition of sonic excellence, much care has been taken to preserve the audio signals integrity and musical accuracy from the 24-bit D/A converter. By employing an analog volume control, precise level adjustment without harmonic degradation is possible. For the same reasons, bass, mid and treble controls also operate in the analog mode.
Superior Audio Circuitry and Robust Power Supply
The combination of high-performance digital and analog circuitry for the pre-amplifier, power amplifier and power supply makes it possible to amplify the audio signals without adding even the slightest amount of distortion or coloration. This approach provides ample headroom for the proper reproduction of the music's purity and dynamic range.
43 W X 4 Power Amplifier / 4-Channel Non-Fade Pre-Outputs
Ample, clean audio output is available to drive virtually any mobile speaker system with ease. System expansion using external amplification is possible via the four-channel, non-fade pre-amp outputs, delivering a powerful 4 volt output to the amplifier. A pair of subwoofer outputs are also provided.
